The popular fireworks displays see thousands of people line the
beach to witness the fantastic fireworks displays. Perfect activity
on a warm summers evening.

beach to witness the fantastic fireworks displays. Perfect activity
on a warm summers evening.
Carnival Day October - 16th August
From 10am until 10pm the Esplanade becomes the setting of the
popular carnival. Stalls line the Esplanade with activities for
people of all ages, as well as other 'theme park style' attractions.
Later in the evening is the procession of floats, decorated in many
different styles. The evening ends with a firework display.

Lions
Beach Motocross - (tba)
A specially constructed beach motocross course is constructed every
year, in which competitors from across the country battle it out
to be champion.

Guy Fawkes Celebrations November - 5th November
Join in the fun on the esplanade with a large bonfire and
then fireworks later in the evening. There will also be a fun fair.

The sailing events for the London 2012 olympics will take place
in Weymouth Bay and Portland Harbour.
