Located in the 350-acre Lodmoor Country Park, only a 15 minute stroll from the town centre is the amazing Sea Life Park. Home to hundreds of sea creatures, and now you can even find penguins and otters to amaze you...

During the last 20 years the marine attraction has been visited by more than four and a half million people. In recent times the highlight of the visit has been the new penguin sanctuary. In an area purpose built for them, the captive-bred Humboldt species have been housed to ease the problem of overcrowding in there previous home. This breed has become rare in their native South America due to humans damaging there nesting environment.

Also at the park is a pair of Asian short clawed otters that hopefully will breed and make a new colony of the endangered species. Along side these is a seal sanctuary where adult seals are looked after because they are not well enough to be returned to the environment.

You can also wonder round the hundreds of different tanks of fish and sharks that you wouldn't normally find in this country. There's even a glass tunnel for you to walk through where the fish literally swim all around you.

There's plenty for the kids to do, including a treasure hunt and water themed amusements.

While the kids are playing there is a cafe and restaurant to relax in, as well as a gift shop to take home a souvenir of your visit.
